I wanted to walk the Camino de Santiago de Compostela, but had some serious requirements. First, we had to have enough KMs to qualify for the official certificate at the end. But, since I had invited my young-adult daughters to join me, we had a specific, limited timeline. And since we would be flying in and out of Madrid, we needed a plan for those days as well. Oh, and I didn’t want to go on a group tour. I wanted a more personal, family experience. And did Carolina deliver! She took my daughter’s interests into account and provided options for our time in Madrid, including tastings and classes, interesting neighborhoods to explore, and the best hotel and location to stay, given our time and the need to get to Santiago de Compostela by train. Carolina also knew where we needed to start the Camino (Sarria), planned the mileage we could walk each day, and located small inns and an apartment for us to stay in along the way. She also gave us a just-in-time orientation on Zoom, which was invaluable for getting all three of us into a good mindset. The trip was flawless. We knew enough to feel confident, but not so much that we weren’t delighted each step of the way. It was a special and unforgettable trip. iGraciñas, Carolina! Estamos muy agradecidos.
